Department of Anatomy

Building the Foundation: Understanding the Human Structure for Homoeopathic Healing

About the Department

The Department of Anatomy at S. M. Deo Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital lays the essential foundation for BHMS students by providing in-depth knowledge of the human body's structure. It emphasizes functional anatomy, correlating gross structures with homoeopathic principles of vital force and holistic understanding.

As part of the First BHMS curriculum, the department focuses on general anatomy, regional anatomy (head & neck, thorax, abdomen, extremities), embryology, histology, and surface anatomy – all taught with relevance to clinical homoeopathic practice.

Students learn through lectures, dissections, models, charts, osteology demonstrations, and histology slides, preparing them to understand disease manifestations and remedy actions from a structural perspective.
