Clinical Diagnosis & Homoeopathic Therapeutics: Integrating Modern Medicine with Classical Homoeopathy

About the Department

The Department of Practice of Medicine at S. M. Deo Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is the clinical backbone of BHMS training (mainly Third & Final years). It teaches modern clinical diagnosis, differential diagnosis, therapeutics, and emergency management while integrating classical homoeopathic principles for individualized treatment.

Students learn to take detailed case histories, perform physical examinations, interpret investigations, understand disease pathology, and apply homoeopathic remedies in acute and chronic conditions — always emphasizing the totality of symptoms, miasmatic background, and single-remedy prescribing.

Extensive OPD/IPD exposure in the attached hospital, case discussions, bedside teaching, and clinical demonstrations prepare students to become competent homoeopathic physicians capable of handling real-world medical scenarios safely and effectively.
