Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Women's Health & Reproductive Wellness Through Gentle Homoeopathic Care

About the Department

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Prasuti Tantra evam Stri Roga) at S. M. Deo Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital focuses on women's reproductive health, antenatal care, labour management, gynaecological disorders, and infertility – all approached through classical homoeopathic principles of individualized treatment, minimum intervention, and promotion of natural processes.

Taught mainly in Third and Final BHMS years, the subject covers normal and abnormal pregnancy, puerperium, menstrual disorders, PCOS, fibroids, endometriosis, menopausal complaints, and homoeopathic management of high-risk pregnancies, with emphasis on non-invasive, safe remedies for mother and child.

Practical training includes antenatal check-ups, gynaecological examinations, case discussions, and OPD/IPD exposure in the attached hospital, preparing students to provide holistic, woman-centered homoeopathic care.
