Department of Organon of Medicine with Homoeopathic Philosophy

The Foundation of Homoeopathy: Mastering Principles, Case Taking & Cure

About the Department

The Department of Organon of Medicine with Homoeopathic Philosophy is the cornerstone of homoeopathic education at S. M. Deo Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital. It teaches the fundamental principles laid down by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in the Organon of Medicine, including the law of similars, vital force, single remedy, minimum dose, and totality of symptoms.

Spanning all BHMS years, the department focuses on case taking, repertorization basics, miasmatic theory, posology, management of chronic diseases, and philosophical integration with other subjects like Materia Medica and Repertory.

Students develop critical thinking through lectures, seminars, case discussions, and practical sessions on history taking and analysis, preparing them for accurate, individualized homoeopathic prescribing.
